Questions Worth Asking

If something isn’t answered here, reach out directly. I’m easy to get hold of.

  • It starts with a conversation. We talk through where you want to go, how you like to travel, and what matters most to you. From there I design a personalized itinerary, walk you through it, and refine it until it feels exactly right. Once you’re happy, I handle every booking and confirmation. You travel. I take care of everything else.

  • For some bookings I earn a commission from the suppliers I work with, which means my service costs you nothing directly. For certain complex itineraries or consulting-only requests, a planning fee may apply. I’ll always be transparent about this upfront, before we do any work together.

  • You can book a trip yourself the same way you can represent yourself in a legal matter. It’s possible, but the gaps in knowledge are costly. I spent 17 years as a senior executive inside the travel industry. I know how the system works, where the real value sits, and how to get things done when something goes wrong. That knowledge is what you’re getting access to, not just a booking service.

  • Australia, New Zealand, Africa and Canada, plus ocean and river cruising worldwide. These are places I know personally, not destinations I’ve been trained to sell. I travel constantly and the knowledge I bring is current and firsthand.

  • Absolutely. Solo travel requires a different kind of planning, the right ship, the right room category, the right pacing, and I enjoy getting those details right. Several of my clients travel solo and come back for more.

  • For complex international itineraries, safaris, or peak season travel, six to twelve months ahead is ideal. That said, I’ve put together excellent last-minute trips when the timing has worked. Get in touch and I’ll tell you honestly what’s achievable.

  • Yes. I’ll discuss options with you as part of the planning process and make sure you have appropriate cover in place before you travel. I won’t let you leave without it.

  • You call me. I don’t keep business hours and I’m reachable wherever I am in the world. Delays, cancellations, changes on the ground — I handle it. That’s part of what you’re paying for.

  • Yes. All bookings are made through established, reputable suppliers and I operate as an affiliate of WorldVia Travel Network, one of the largest and most respected travel networks in the United States. Your money goes to the supplier, not to me, and you receive confirmation directly from them.

  • Yes. I can handle flights, transfers, accommodation, experiences, cruise bookings, travel insurance and everything in between. My preference is to manage the full trip so nothing falls through the gaps between different bookings.

  • For ocean cruising: Celebrity Cruises, Oceania, Silversea, Princess Cruises, Virgin Voyages and Royal Caribbean.

For river cruising: Avalon Waterways, Riverside Luxury Cruises and others depending on the itinerary. I’ll always recommend the line that suits you specifically, not the one that’s easiest to sell.
